FlameProxies is a **residential proxy network**: one gateway that lets your product reach the public web reliably and at scale, through real residential IPs.

In practice, that means you send your request through FlameProxies and it leaves our network from a residential IP instead of your own server. The target website sees that IP, not yours. This lets you collect data at scale, see geo-restricted content the way local users see it, and avoid the IP bans that would otherwise stop your requests.

## What we offer

FlameProxies provides three proxy products today.

### Proxies

**Residential proxies** route your traffic through real home internet connections. We maintain a pool of over 84 million residential IPs, with targeting by country and city. These IPs belong to genuine ISP subscribers, which makes them very difficult for websites to detect and block. Residential proxies are the best choice for most web scraping, price monitoring, SEO, and ad verification work.

**Premium residential proxies** come from a curated pool of more than 15 million clean IPs with no prior proxy-detection history. They're built for targets with strict anti-bot protection, where IP reputation decides whether a request gets through.

**Static residential (ISP) proxies** are dedicated IPs registered to real ISPs. They never rotate, bandwidth is unlimited, and you pay per IP by duration instead of per GB. They're useful when a workflow needs one trusted IP for days or weeks.

Not sure which one fits your use case? See [Choosing the right proxy type](/getting-started/choosing-proxy-type).

### Coming soon

**Datacenter proxies** are coming soon, for cost-sensitive, high-throughput workloads where IP trust matters less than speed and price.

## How it works

You connect to FlameProxies using standard proxy protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5. There's nothing proprietary to install. If your tool or code supports proxy connections, it works with FlameProxies.

Residential and premium residential connections point at the same gateway:

| Protocol | Host | Port |
| - | - | - |
| HTTP / HTTPS | `proxy.flameproxies.com` | `8989` |
| SOCKS5 | `proxy.flameproxies.com` | `1080` |

A proxy line has four parts: host, port, username, and password.

```text theme={null}
proxy.flameproxies.com:8989:<USERNAME>-package-standard-country-us-city-newyorkcity-session-a1b2-time-30:<PASSWORD>
```

* The **username** starts with your package username and carries your **parameters**: which product to use (`package-standard`), where to exit (`country-us-city-newyorkcity`), and whether to hold the same IP (`session-a1b2-time-30`).
* The **password** authenticates you. It's the password of your package.
* The **host and port** are the gateway you connect to.

You put the parameters straight into the username — there's nothing to configure in the dashboard first. The dashboard's [proxy generator](/dashboard/proxy-generator) can build the line for you, or you can write it by hand. To automate orders, bandwidth, and proxy generation, use the [Customer API](/api/overview).

We have working examples for [Python](/examples/python), [Node.js](/examples/nodejs), [Go](/examples/go), and [curl](/examples/curl).

## Who FlameProxies is for

FlameProxies is built for **developers, data teams, and businesses whose work depends on public web data**. Typical workloads include:

* Web scraping and crawling for e-commerce, travel, real estate, and marketplace data.
* Price and stock monitoring across countries and cities.
* SEO rank tracking and SERP collection from specific locations.
* Ad verification and brand protection.
* Market research, competitive intelligence, and AI training data collection.

You'll get the most out of FlameProxies if you need:

* **High success rates.** Residential and premium residential proxies both deliver a 99.9% success rate.
* **No usage limits.** There are no limits on throughput, requests per second or per minute, threads, or concurrent connections.
* **Bandwidth that never expires.** You pay as you go, and unused bandwidth stays on your package until you use it.
* **Per-request control.** Rotate on every request or hold an IP for a set number of minutes, pick a sub-pool, and turn on fast mode to route through the lowest-latency peer — all from the username.
