curl

curl is the quickest way to test FlameProxies from your terminal. Every example on this page is a single command you can copy, paste, and run. Replace USERNAME and PASSWORD with your package credentials from the dashboard.

Residential proxies

Rotating (new IP every request)

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-standard-country-us:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Run this several times and you’ll get a different IP each time.

Target a specific city

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-standard-country-us-city-newyorkcity:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Sticky session (same IP across requests)

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-standard-country-us-session-a1b2-time-30:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Run this several times with the same session ID and you’ll see the same IP for up to 30 minutes.

Sub-pool

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-standard-country-us-pool-2:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Fast mode (lowest latency)

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-standard-country-us-mode-fast:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Premium residential proxies

Premium residential uses the same format. Change package-standard to package-premium.

Rotating

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-premium-country-us:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Sticky session

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-premium-country-gb-session-c3d4-time-20:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

SOCKS5

To connect over SOCKS5, use port 1080. --socks5-hostname resolves the target hostname through the proxy:

curl --socks5-hostname proxy.flameproxies.com:1080 --proxy-user "USERNAME-package-standard-country-us:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Or pass the whole proxy as a URL:

curl -x "socks5h://USERNAME-package-standard-country-us:PASSWORD@proxy.flameproxies.com:1080" https://ipinfo.io/json

Static residential (ISP) proxies

Static proxies use a dedicated host for each IP:

curl -x 203.0.113.10.static.flameproxies.com:1337 -U "USERNAME-203.0.113.10:PASSWORD" https://ipinfo.io/json

Replace 203.0.113.10 with your static IP. The dashboard shows the exact line for each IP you own. ISP Monthly IPs (United States) connect straight to the IP instead, with no .static.flameproxies.com hostname:

Measuring timing

Add -w to see where time goes in a request:

curl -x proxy.flameproxies.com:8989 -U "USERNAME-package-standard-country-us:PASSWORD" \

Expected response

All examples return a JSON response from ipinfo.io:

The ip should be different from your real IP. If you targeted a country, country should match.
